Out in Oxford App

A web app version of the Out in Oxford trail is available. This includes audio descriptions and interpretations of the featured items for blind and partially sighted users. BBC Radio Oxford interviews with the project’s volunteers are also included. These were broadcast between 6-10 February 2017 to celebrate the launch of the trail.

The web app can be accessed at http://oxfordstories.ox.ac.uk/out-in-oxford and should work on all devices.

The web app was developed as part of the 'Diversifying the University Voice' project, funded by the University's IT Innovation Fund. For this project the Pitt Rivers Museum, TORCH (The Oxford Research Centre for the Humanities) and IT Services were awarded £60,000 to develop a mobile platform for diverse voices, stories, research and collections to be made available to a wider public.
